Ensure that your rock core descriptions are clear, consistent, and concise. Adhere to established procedures for identifying natural fractures, calculating Total, Solid, and Modified Core Recovery, and measuring Rock Quality Designation (RQD).
On the back side, you’ll find a Fracture Characterization Guide to assist in analyzing bedrock fractures from any size of rock core. Use this guide to identify general rock types, label the rock core box correctly, and place the rock core appropriately.
